JADE HUAYU CHEN
Loyola Marymount University
I am an assitant professor in accounting at Loyola Marymount University.
My primary research interest is in the area of auditing, with a focus on various factors that affect auditors' ability to deliver high audit quality such as audit firm governance and human capital management. I am also interested in questions at the intersection of auditing and financial accounting such as the role of auditing and audit regulation in shaping firm disclosure decisions. My research applies theories and perspectives from other disciplines such as spatial economics and labor economics to auditing settings, with the objective of advancing the understanding of the audit industry. I primarily use archival methods and have put together unique datasets to answer my research questions.
